【YORUMORI】Reflection & Dialog in the Forests of Japan

This is the English version of YORUMORI’s Overview. A translation in Japanese (概要-日本語 / Overview-Japanese) is available.

What YORUMORI Values

We host experiences in the forests of Japan where you let go of constant thinking, open your senses, and feel nature and yourself, together with companions.

Programs are mainly in Japanese. We invite connection beyond words — through presence, shared quiet, and sensory awareness.

solo reflection by a forest stream — opening the senses to feel nature, self, and companions (YORUMORI Personal Program)

Main Program — YORUMORI Forest Overnight Program

Held several times a year in a few selected forests in Japan (for example: Uenomura, Kumano Kodo, Aso, Oku-Nikko), with lodging in nearby facilities.

Participants spend solo time in the forest by day, at night, and in the morning, then come together to share what they felt — sometimes around a fire, sometimes in a circle in the forest to share dialog.

YORUMORI weaves solo time and dialog so you can deeply feel nature, yourself, and companions.

Venue & Forest Locations

We avoid busy tourist seasons and crowded hours to preserve a calm and reflective atmosphere.

Many of our sites are satoyama-style forests — natural settings that feel familiar, close-to-life.

We aim to nurture such places with local communities to support well-being.
